Students at Universidad de Santiago de Chile are competing at the Taipei 2017 Universiade

  •  The competition gathers university athletes from all over the world. Threes students at Universidad de Santiago de Chile are part of the Chilean team: Sebastián Román Aravena (table tennis); Felipe Castillo Toro (volleyball) and Nicolás Dagnino Thayer (track and field). Professor Isabel Castillo Barrera, coach of the University’s table tennis team, is part of the sports delegation too.

 

 

Karatekas of Universidad de Santiago won gold and bronze medals in the PKF Championship

  • Six representatives of Universidad de Santiago were part of the Chilean national team that travelled to Guayaquil, Ecuador, to compete in the PKF Championship.

 

On August 27th, the karate branch of Universidad de Santiago, led by their coach Mario González, showed a high performance in the Pan-American Karate Federation Championship.

  • Universidad de Santiago’s representatives won one gold medal, one silver medal and four bronze medals in the US Open in Las Vegas, USA. They are part of the karate national team and have participated in different international competitions.

Universidad de Santiago claimed victory for the sixth consecutive year at the university karate championship

  •  The karate teams of Universidad de Santiago won the first places in women and men categories in the championship coordinated by the University National Federation of Sports, a sports organization that depends on the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities.
