The Universidad de Santiago de Chile is a public higher- education institution of the State that has autonomy and it is part of a centuries-old tradition in the country’s progress. Its purpose, related to human knowledge, seeks the welfare of society, as a whole, through its own objectives.
It is the duty of the University’s Central Government to comply with each and every one of the regulations, ensuring the preservation of public property and public interest.
The operational structure of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile consists of the Pro Presidency, General Secretariat, University’s Legal and Financial Affairs Comptroller, Academic Vice Presidency, Vice Presidency of Research, Development and Innovation, Vice Presidency of Relationship with Society and Vice Presidency of Student Support.
