The initiative, awarded under the Fondecyt Regular 2026 program to Dr. Domingo Román, a faculty member in the Department of Linguistics and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities, seeks to identify and systematize prosodic patterns—intonation, pauses, and rhythm —present in poetic recitation in Chile, incorporating voices from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds for analysis and pedagogical application.

To help bridge this gap, the Dicyt 2025 project, led by academic and director of the History Department, Dr. Rolando Álvarez, in collaboration with historian Dr. Yanny Santa Cruz, proposes a comparative and gender-based look at the experiences of secondary school women’s participation in the Southern Cone between 1957 and 1976.

In recognition of her distinguished academic career and global impact, Dr. Mónica Ahumada—professor in the Department of Linguistics and Literature at USACH's Faculty of Humanities—was honored in China for advancing Sinology and Chinese studies and for strengthening China-Latin America cooperation networks.
Dr. Jorge Castillo-Sepúlveda, academic at the FAHU School of Psychology and Vice Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies, together with Jhonathan Castro Pino, are leading the cutting-edge project entitled "Towards a river biopolitics: a case study of hydroelectricity from Itaipú," funded by the Usach Office for Scientific and Technological Research through its 2025 competition.

Titled “Experiences of university teachers associated with the demands of training and student characteristics: implications for personal and interpersonal care,” their study specifically examines effects on emotional well-being and interpersonal dynamics within the classroom.
